Last week, we joined forces with Lake Hour, Game Night Rochester, and Petit Poutinerie for an unforgettable Rochester Cocktail Revival 2024 party – Camp Tiny Fish. From giant flip cup to s’mores over the campfire, the event was a celebration of cocktails, creativity, and all things summer camp. Join us as we reminisce on the top 10 moments that made this year's camp truly special:
The Never-Ending Lake Hour: ’Tis the reason for the RCR season. Our Finger Lakes friends at Lake Hour brought their premium spirits to share with revelers and boy, did we revel! While the top flavor of the night became clear early on – Watermelon Cucumber – the team at Lake Hour made sure their crisp canned cocktails never ran out and that every camper got a chance to imbibe (responsibly). We highly recommend picking up a pack for your next party, lakeside or otherwise!
Brandon the Bartender: Lake Hour at the ready, Brandon the Bartender held down the bar kept the cans flowing all evening. Fun fact: Brandon had the perfect camp style with that branded bucket hat and T-shirt – made by Tiny Fish Printing of course.
Camp Director Jake: What can we say about Jake that hasn’t already been said? Jake Cornfield of Game Night Rochester absolutely made Camp Tiny Fish. Megaphone in hand, he led group games with a fury. For those quieter moments, Jake had lawn games at the ready for all to share. 10/10 would heartily endorse Jake for anything you’re planning that requires good old fashioned F-U-N.
Giant Flip Cup: About those group games, when Director Jake showed up with two large empty garbage cans and said he was going to lead something he’d never done before – “Giant Flip Cup” – we said “Huh? Okay, whatever you want, Jake! You’re the expert!” So he did it. And it was awesome. Teams of campers competed to see who could flip the “cup” the most times and we still have sand in our parking lot. Worth it!
Game Night Rochester Merch Drop: While Jake may be the games and fun expert, we’re the apparel experts. We helped Jake and Game Night Rochester launch their new merch line at Camp Tiny Fish, featuring Comfort Colors 1717 Adult Heavyweight T-Shirts in four different colorways.
The Merch Wall: Speaking of merch, our showroom wall was decked out in camp ringers and hats for earlybird partygoers. The free shirts were so popular, we had to run into the shop to grab extras! It’s been a blast running into campers wearing these around town.
The “Giant Cheese Curd Rolling Down Hayward Avenue” (IYKYK): No worries, this didn’t actually happen. But we did have a visit from our friends at Petit Poutinerie! Campers were able to mosey up to the mobile mess hall for some delicious fries, curds, and gravy. It was poutine heaven.
Friendship Bracelets and Boondoggle: What summer camp experience is complete without arts and crafts? Campers made new friends while braiding, twisting, and beading the evening away.
Postcards from Camp: The best thing about summer camp is sharing it with others, even if they couldn’t physically be there with you. We set up a postcard station for campers to write notes “home” and we mailed them after the party!
Campfires and S’mores: Thanks to our fire master Jon, we had two campfires burning all evening long. Though it was a warm night already, campers circled ‘round and roasted marshmallows. A s’mores bar nearby had all the fixings, including vegan and gluten free s’more kits.
Camp Tiny Fish 2024 was more than just a summer camp themed party with free drinks — it was a chance for Rochester buddies new and old to meet up and make some new memories. So as we bid farewell to another incredible year of Rochester Cocktail Revival, we carry with us the fun, the friendships, and the lessons learned – primarily that giant flip cup is awesome – knowing that the magic of camp will live on in our hearts until we meet again.
